After Hours Assistance

Our front office team or onsite manager (after hours) can be contacted by dialing ‘9’ from your in-room phone. Alternatively, you can contact our security operators on 5447 7566. We are here to help. A minimum fee of $75.00 will be charged for after hour lockouts or if after-hours service is required to come out to the unit due to excess noise.


Air Conditioning

Apartments have reverse cycle air conditioning for your use. Please make sure that all windows and doors are closed for its effective use. Please also turn off when leaving the apartment for any length of time.

BBQs

Complimentary BBQ’s are situated throughout the resort grounds and on the podium level. Our BBQ hours are from 8am – 9pm and operating instructions are located on the BBQ’s. Please be considerate of the next guest and leave the BBQ and surrounding area clean and tidy when you have finished using the facility.

We ask that you please not take glassware to the BBQ areas. Each apartment is equipped with an assortment of reusable plastic drinkware for your convenience.


Beach

Culgoa Point Beach Resort has its own private beach frontage but the beach is not patrolled and caution should be taken by any person wishing to swim or use water sports equipment at the beach. Management is not responsible for people who choose to swim at the beach.


Bird Feeding

To minimise the amount of bird poo on balconies and patios, we ask you to kindly refrain from feeding any of our feathered friends.


Boats, Watercraft & Trailers

Unfortunately, trailers, boats & other motorised watercraft including jet skis, are not permitted onsite and cannot be placed in your designated car parking space, this is a by-law requirement.

Please note: If you have a watercraft or boat that is parked on the Culgoa Point Beach Resort beach, it must be double moored (moored from the hull and stern) at all times.

We kindly ask, that you do not park your trailers on Quamby Place to help reserve the on street parking for resort visitors. We suggest considering the following alternative options for storage of your trailer and/or watercraft:

Check In & Check Out Times

Check-in time is 2pm and Check-out time is 10am. If the room is ready earlier, you are welcome to check in earlier. We will do our best to let you know. Generally, no late check-outs will be available. You can enquire the morning of departure by dialing 9 from your room. You will be welcome to use the resort facilities the whole day that you are checking out.

Please ensure your room keys are returned to Reception upon Check-out.

Early Departure

If you are departing before Reception opens in the morning, please place your key/s in the drop box located outside the reception area.


Eviction

During any point of your stay, Culgoa Point Beach Resort reserves the right to evict any guest(s) from the resort, should any unacceptable and/or inappropriate behavior occur.

Culgoa Point Beach Resort also reserves the right to enter apartments at any time should management become concerned about damage to the property.

No refunds will be given if guests are evicted.

As a courtesy, guests are asked to please leave their apartment clean and tidy when departing. Please wash all dishes and remove all rubbish.

A $100 cleaning fee applies to units left in a disheveled manner. An additional $50 fee applies should rubbish need to be removed by Housekeeping staff.

Please contact Reception should you need assistance. Bins are located behind the pool area, beachside car park.


Fire Safety

For your health and safety, all rooms have been fitted with smoke detectors and alarms. If the alarm sounds, please evacuate your room immediately, leaving all possessions behind. Should you need to evacuate, follow emergency procedures on the back of your apartment front door.

In the event of a fire, please call 000 for emergency services. If using your in-room phone please dial ‘0’ for an outside line first.

Please also advise the Onsite Manager by dialing ’9’ from your in-room phone or using the phone located outside of Reception.


Guest Lounge Area

The guest lounge area is located next to reception and is opened during reception hours. A coffee machine and tea-making facilities are available for your enjoyment.


Gymnasium

The resort gymnasium is located within the pool area and available for guest use between the hours of 7am and 8pm daily. You will need your room key to access this facility.

Please note: unfortunately, children under the age of 16 are not allowed to use the gymnasium.

It is important to wipe all equipment before and after use to ensure cleanliness for all guests.
Please be considerate of the next guest and leave the area clean and tidy.


Housekeeping

Culgoa Point Beach Resort is a self-contained resort. Laundry and kitchen facilities and starter kits have been provided in the apartment for your convenience.

Additional amenity items such as tea, coffee, and washing products can be purchased from Reception if required.

As a courtesy, guests are asked to please leave their apartment clean and tidy when departing. Please wash all dishes and remove all rubbish.

Marina Berth

Berths on Culgoa's private marina are available For $15 per day, subject to availability. Bookings can be made with our front office team.

Please be aware that there are only a limited number of berths available and the marina is very popular in peak periods.

Please note: If you have a watercraft or boat that is parked on the Culgoa Point Beach Resort beach, it must be double moored (moored from the hull and stern) at all times.


Marquees, Tents, Additional Tables and Portable BBQs

No marquees, tents and/or shade cloths, and no additonal tables or portable BBQs are permitted on the grass/common area at any time.


Noise

Culgoa Point Beach Resort has a strict 'No Party' policy.

To ensure a pleasant stay for all guests, groups of 20 or more are not permitted to gather in one location on the resort grounds.

As a courtesy to other guests, please keep noise to a minimum between 10:00 pm and 7:00 am.
Should you encounter any noise past these hours, please dial ‘9’ from your in-room phone for assistance.

If at any stage of the day or night you can hear other guests are being too noisy or too many people gathering in one spot please immediately contact reception "dial 9 on the phone" or after hours please call security on 5447 7566. Your right to a quiet holiday is our biggest priority.


Parking

Each apartment is allocated one complimentary undercover car park. Please do not park in any other apartment's space. If your car is found in another unit's car spot, we do reserve the right to have your car towed. Should you have additional car/s or visitors, visitor parking is available near the resort entrance.

Whilst all care is taken, no responsibility will be accepted by management for theft or damage to guest’s property, including vehicles within the car park.


Pool Towels

Pool towels are available to hire from Reception for $3 should they be required and can be used for the entirety of your stay.


Pool, Spa & Sauna

Culgoa Point Beach Resort offers a 20-meter lap pool, adjacent children's wading pool, and poolside spa for our guests.The pool precinct is open between the hours of 7 am and 8 pm.

A sauna is also available for guest use, but children under the age of 16 are unfortunately not allowed to use this facility. If you do see children using the sauna please let reception know.

Please be aware that glassware and glass bottles are not permitted within the pool area. Each apartment is equipped with an assortment of reusable plastic drinkware for your convenience.

Rubbish

The bins are positioned in a communal area in the guest car park behind the pool on the beachside.

As a courtesy, guests are asked to please remove any rubbish from their apartment and dispose of it in the appropriate bin (recycle and general waste).

A $50 fee applies should rubbish need to be removed by Housekeeping staff after your departure. Please contact Reception should you need assistance.


Security

Culgoa Point Beach Resort has an independent security company patrol the resort throughout the evening and night. Should you experience noisy guests in adjacent apartments or other disturbances outside of office hours you can dial ‘102’ on your apartment phone and be connected directly to this security company.

Please be security-minded when leaving your apartment. Ensure all sliding doors and windows are locked, especially when going out.

On departure day, please ensure the apartment is secured. Alternatively, you can contact our security operators on 5447 7566


Smoking

This resort is a non-smoking property.

Please be aware that on the spot fines of a minimum of $350.00 if guests are found smoking inside rooms or on apartment balconies.

Smoking should take place outside the resort gates and at a minimum of 10 meters away from resort buildings.

Visitors

Visitors may use the resort facilities but must be accompanied by a resort guest - the resort limits each unit to bringing only 4 adult visitors per room to the resort at any time unless discussed prior with reception. All visitors must be signed in at reception during office hours. A limited number of visitor parking spaces are available at the front of the resort for visitors. If these spaces are full, visitors should look for available parking in Quamby Place.


Watercraft Hire

Kayaks and stand-up paddleboards are available for hire via Reception.

Hire starts from $18 for the first hour for single kayaks, $21 for the first hour for double kayaks, and $25 per hour for stand-up paddleboards. Overnight hire (from 4pm - 9am) of the watercraft is available for $50.


WIFI

WiFi is provided free of charge and with unlimited downloads for our resort guests. An instruction sheet with details on access can be found laminated on the kitchen wall.


Guests Code Of Conduct

Administration Subordinate Local Law (No. 1) 2015 – Schedule 21A Operation
of short stay letting or home hosted accommodation


CODE OF CONDUCT FOR GUEST BEHAVIOUR


1. Each vehicle used by an occupant of the premises must—
(A) be stored in a manner that does not cause a nuisance or inconvenience
to adjoining premises; and
(B) be parked within the parking facilities at the premises;


2. Each occupant of the premises who enters, uses or occupies the premises,
including any outdoor area of the premises, for example, an outdoor entertainment
area, deck, balcony, swimming pool or spa, must not—
(A) detrimentally affect the residential amenity (including but not limited to
noise, overlooking or light spill) enjoyed by residents adjoining, or in the
vicinity of, the premises; or
(B) cause a nuisance (including a noise nuisance); or
(C) display unacceptable behavior, for example—
 loud aggressive behaviour;
 yelling, screaming, arguing;
 excessively loud cheering, clapping or singing; or
(D) create a level of noise which is in excess of the acceptable levels described
by Queensland Government legislation for environmental protection (noise).


3. An occupant of the premises must not sleep or camp on the premises in a tent,
caravan, campervan or similar facility;


4. Pets occupying the premises must be managed and not cause a nuisance (including
a noise nuisance);


5. Each occupant of the premises must store general waste (including the separation
of recyclable waste) produced as a result of the ordinary use or occupation of the
premises in a waste container;


6. Each occupant of the premises must ensure that the premises, including the
grounds of the premises, are kept in a safe and tidy condition.
